A Wonderful Week Alhamdulilah

Alsalamu Alaikum,

Dear Parents,

I hope you are well. Alhamdulilah we had a wonderful week. We learned and did some great activities.

Health: This week students learned about different food groups. We talked about healthy food and habits.

Math: We learned the difference between numerals and number words. We counted shapes and put them into groups. We counted different objects and printed and wrote the numerals and number words  in our Math books.

Reading: Students read stories in class and at home and talked about their favorite books.

Social Studies: They took an "All About Me" pack. Each student wrote his/her favorite color and book. Students learned some of the rules we have in different places and in Hajj.

Writing/ Spelling: Students looked at pictures in their Spelling books and sounded out words. They wrote upper and lower case letters. Students learned how to form sentences using correct punctuation. They wrote sentences in their notebooks about "The Kabah" and drew pictures of the "Kabah".

Islamic Studies: We talked about Hajj and the Kabah. Students learned the different ways people can travel to the Kabah from all over the world.  We had  lots of fun painting paper to make different transportation used to go to the Kabah.

Alhamdulilah it was a wonderful week!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Ms. Hoda Elshayeb
