New Unit in Math

This is to inform you that we have started anew unit in Math.  We are now working on now working on Unit 9 that is all about 2D shapes.
We reviewed the 2D shapes' names, we described them, talked about them, and we looked round for 2D shapes.
We compared 2D shapes and 3D shapes.
Please take the time to review the few pages that we did on Unit 9 with your child.

PROGRESS REPORT  TO GO HOME TODAY

This is to inform you that the progress report for term one, will be sent home today, inshallah..


Parent-teacher interview will be on Thursday, November 20th, inshallah!  Please note that we will have early dismissal on that day...


Friday, November 21st is a PD day, inshallah!  No school for the students...

No homework sent home today...

DRA READING ASSESSMENT

The DRA reading assessments to identify student's independent reading level will be taking place over the coming 2 weeks, inshallah. Students will be asked to read a short story depending on their level and discuss the reading orally with Teacher Naaz.

Dear respected Parents:

Alhamdulilah the students finished two lessons.

the letter "Meem and Kaaf.

They learned how to write from right to left, and the shapes of the letters,

at the beginning, in the middle, and at the end of the word.

We learned new words and their meaning, and simple sentences.

They will have quiz on Wednesday, inshaallah!

السلام عليكم :

 ما تم دراسته منذ بداية العام و حتى الان الاتي :

*مراجعة عامة للتعرف على المستوى العام للتلاميذ و أخذ ذلك في الاعتبار عند وضع أهدافنا و خططنا الدراسية ،

.مراجعة جميع الحروف الهجائية شكلا و لفظا مع حركات التشكيل الفتحة و الكسرة و الضمة و المدود

.

*انتهينا من دراسة الوحدة الاولى ( الله هو الخالق ) تم خلالها التعرف و التدريب على قراءة و تهجئة العديد من

 الكلمات ، و تم التركيز و مراجعة و تعزيز العديد من الحروف التي تشملها  هذه المفردات ، التدريب على الكتابة الصحيحة  للمفردات نقلا التي تهتم بموقع الحرف من السطرو رسمه بالشكل الصحيح أيضا ، ترديد و حفظ نشيد 

خاص بالوحدة .و نحن الان في الدرس الاول من الوحدة الثانية (أجزاء الجسم) .

 وأود الاشارة : أن التدريب على القراءة يتم باستخدام الطريقة التوليفية، التي تعتمد على الكل و على الجزء أيضا ،حيث  يقرأ الطالب الكلمة بالتقطيع ، أي عند قراءته  للكلمة يلفظ كل حرف مشكل كمقطع منفرد مشكلا ، و لكن الحرف الساكن لابد أن يلفظ مع الحرف الذي يسبقه كمقطع واحد و لا يلفظ منفردا ،  و ذلك كما وضحته بأمثلة في ورقة الواجب المنزلية الاولى ، و هذا يساعد الطالب على القراءة الصحيحة بيسر و اتقان .
